ARTIST STATEMENT
There was a saying that “Children are always an artist because they draw their
imaginations without hesitations”.
I have been practicing academic arts since 2012 in Ford Academy of Fine Arts
then transfered and graduated at 2019 in Philippine Women’s College of
Davao, continually to create artworks up until now as being a freelance artist.
I had collaborated with the Artlink Guild in some commissioned murals. I work
with traditional and modern art techniques to delineate the conceptual narratives and symbolism using the inherited skills from my mentor as my own innovation.
My works were recognized to some art masters and collectors
through a participation of national art contests like Shell and MADE 2018, exhibitions and won twice in a local group art contests. I currently am still under
apprenticeship of Master Rodney P. Yap, a well-established Filipino post-surrealism artist based in Davao City of Mindanao region.
I'm a Fine Arts and Design Graduate at University of Santo Tomas, major in any Fine arts field, namely Painting, sculpting, and drawing, and also in designing (graphic design, architectural design, and interior design) i could teach the concept and theories of each field. I have work experience in the education field, the age level of my students are from grade 4 to high school, and until 2nd year of college.
I am a figurative Artist. I love sketching and painting figures especially women. I bring my subjects into a whole new level by applying eye catching colors. In doing portraits, i make sure that my painting is the exact replica of the person I'm copying. I love the fact that o can communicate and engage people through my art.
