STEP 1: ACQUAINTANCE To give you exactly what you want, we want to know more about you, every detail relevant. From rants to raves; to favored colors, feels and schemes – it’s part of our list of things to do. This makes sure that we give the best quality of work and a design experience. And don’t worry, we’ll take you through every step of the way. STEP 2: INITIAL DESIGN CONCEPT PROPOSAL A Design Services Agreement is drafted and executed and a preliminary budget is set, based on the information generated in the initial interview. The Interior Designer will then come up with the big ideas: the “look,” the color schemes, the mood, the inspiration and the floor plan. Nothing is set in stone yet. Upon the approval of the Initial Concept, the Interior Designer will proceed to a more Detailed Concept. STEP 3: DETAILED DESIGN CONCEPT Based on the approved Initial Concept presentation and any adjustments by the Client, the design team will develop plans that might include wall finish choices, floor and ceiling finishes, lighting fixtures used, location of outlets and switches, material samples or swatches, rendered perspective presentations, and other working drawings, depending on the nature and package availed by the client. STEP 4: THE EXECUTION The fourth phase works differently for each project, but it is almost always the most exciting part of the process for each client. At this point the SDSI Design Team installs all of the fixtures, wall coverings, floor and ceiling finishes, and other construction design materials into the interior. STEP 5: FURNISHING AND FINISHING TOUCHES By this phase, pieces are moved into place and positioned according to the design plans created by SDSI and approved by the client. The time required for the furnishing and accessorizing phase varies according to the scope of the project and the type of work being done on the site. Once furnishing is completed, a project is considered to be concluded.
